Lifting spirits on Leap Day...

Aaaaaaaaaahhh, friendship. I must have a lot of BEST friends.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done in the name of friendship?
What do you plan to do with your "extra" day this year?

And how the heck do you know who's following you without GFC??? I have no clue who's following via the RSS feed. What are you guys using? I'm so not happy about this! Google, I love and hate you.

  1. I love that post card. I plan on getting an extra 3k words into the new book. I'm on a roll.

As for losing followers, gaining followers, I have no clue. I couldn't even tell you what an RSS feed is. Ignorance is so blissful. And the way I look at it, if I lose followers, they'll either find me again or they won't. Right.

  2. Love the post card!
As for today, I know what I'd like to do, problem is, I've misplaced my magic wand...

  3. I follow through Google Reader and I've also placed the Linky Followers gadget in my sidebar.

  4. And I just double-checked: those on the Blogger platform should not lose the Google Friends Connect, just those on other platforms.

  5. Anne, that's a good chunk of writing in a day. Hope you be kick that goal's butt!

Elise, thank you. Don't you hate it when you need your magic wand to find your magic wand???

Alex, you've soothed my worries. Until I actually own my own site, I'm at the mercy of the blog providers. I suppose I'll model your example and find multiple ways for people to follow here.

  6. Hope you're enjoying your road trip on Leap Day! Almost over here but I did 500 words - better than nothing.

GFC is safe for Blogger blogs, but we never know what they're going to do next. I added follow by email to my blog, but I don't know what an RSS feed is either. I tried adding one and it asked me to put in a URL - didn't know what to put!

  7. I'm a bit of a Luddite as I simply use the Followers widget to see who's following and I check my Feedburner account to see who's subscribing.

As for the extra leap day, I'll probably spend the day doing my 8 hours of work and then tonight make another attempt at restarting my latest project.

Which was put on hold while I was going through the submission process with my last novel.

Which I would like to happily state has come to a satisfactory conclusion for all involved.

  10. I'll miss GFC, it was so easy to follow people not on Blogger. No idea who follows me on RSS feed unless they actually leave a comment once in a while. Oh, well, there's always Twitter :-)

  11. But you're on Blogger (.blogspot) so you shouldn't lose your GFC widget :-) I'm also on Blogger, but just in case, I've now also added the Linky Followers widget to my blog. Maybe you can try that out.

    xx Rachel
